Hi there!

My name is Julia, and I am a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern located in the charming neighborhood of Baldwin Park in Orlando. I was born and raised in Central Florida and attended the University of Central Florida, where I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology- Clinical Track and my Master’s degree in Counselor Education - Clinical Mental Health Counseling.

I didn’t always know that I wanted to be a therapist. I have always loved learning, which made it very difficult for me to choose just one area of study. I dabbled in computer science and business before finally landing in psychology. I was (and continue to be) fascinated by people and how they think, feel, and behave. After completing my psychology degree, I found myself wanting to learn even more, which ultimately led me to pursue my Master’s degree in Counseling.

During my undergraduate years, I also discovered how much I enjoyed working closely with individuals. As a therapist, I consider it a privilege to be welcomed into people’s lives and to walk alongside them through joyful moments, challenging seasons, and, for some, their darkest hours.

As a therapist, I have a particular passion for helping individuals with OCD—not only because I have OCD myself, but also because I believe it is a deeply misunderstood and often misrepresented disorder. OCD is still not talked about enough in a way that accurately reflects what it can truly look and feel like. As a result, those struggling with it can be left feeling misunderstood, alone, or even as though they are “going crazy.” My goal is to help my clients feel genuinely understood while providing the specialized support they need to better understand their OCD and begin moving toward the life they want to live.

Therapy with me is warm and collaborative while also being structured and intentional. I want my clients to feel safe, supported, and understood as we work together through their current season of life. I will also challenge you at times because I believe meaningful growth often happens when we gently step outside of what feels comfortable.

If you feel like we may be a good fit, I would love to hear from you. Schedule a free 15-minute consultation call today!
