About

Hi, I'm Julia!

I was born and raised in the Orlando area. I earned my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Central Florida and specialize in helping individuals navigate OCD and Anxiety.

My passion for this work is both professional and personal. I have OCD myself, which has given me a meaningful understanding of the experience alongside my strong clinical training. I know how valuable it can be to work with a therapist who understands the unique ways OCD operates and knows how to treat it effectively. This perspective allows me to connect with my clients with genuine empathy while helping them feel hopeful, understood, and empowered in their treatment.

My primary approaches to OCD treatment are Inference-Based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (I-CBT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I help clients better understand how OCD creates doubt, recognize when they are becoming pulled into its reasoning, and gradually change the patterns that keep them feeling stuck. My approach is collaborative and individualized; we will work at a pace that feels manageable while continuing to move toward meaningful change.

While I specialize in OCD and anxiety, I believe therapy should address the whole person—not just a set of symptoms. Together, we may explore how your relationships, values, experiences, routines, environment, and overall well-being influence what you are going through. Understanding these different areas helps us create a treatment approach that supports not only symptom relief, but also a fuller and more meaningful life.

I am trained in I-CBT and ERP, certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and trained in EMDR therapy. When appropriate, I also incorporate EMDR to help clients process distressing experiences, trauma, and deeply rooted beliefs that may be affecting their lives. Above all, I strive to create a space where clients feel understood, supported, and comfortable being fully themselves.

Outside of the therapy room, you can usually find me reading fiction, enjoying a good cup of coffee, or spending time with my beloved doodle, Wynnie (pictured). I also enjoy staying active through Pilates and strength training.
